1. acquire a pioneer rifle and store it in your inventory OR equip it
2. unload any magazine OR equip any loaded firearm and eject the loaded round

while playing on an official server some days ago (9881 NA LA Livonia) i found a Pioneer rifle in the middle of a street that i presumed was abandoned by another player who had a base in a building nearby, after taking the rifle i attempted to eject the round that was chambered in it only for the round to vanish, not appearing in my inventory or on the ground nearby. i considered this a small glitch and continued to reload the rifles magazine and load the rifle, upon accidentally cocking it again and going to put the mistakenly ejected bullet back into the magazine i found it had also disappeared. learning my lesson that this gun destroyed bullets ejected from it i stopped attempting to load it any further and just took it with me on my back as i continued to play the game.

today i got back in and joined a different official server (4253 NA MI Chernarus) and while playing attempted to load a few different guns and noticed that again, bullets were vanishing when ejected or removed from magazines instead of entering my inventory or appearing on the ground around me. i remembered the trouble that was happening previously with the Pioneer rifle and after dropping that rifle on the floor and attempting to unload another magazine i found the glitch had stopped and the bullets were now properly appearing in my inventory.

i abandoned the glitched rifle and then thought to make a bug report about it. this glitch was happening before and after todays update 1.28
