This is strictly a minor cosmetic issue, and has no effect on gameplay.
The A-KM's magazine is insufficiently curved to house 7.62x39mm bullets. From my understanding, the magazine is modelled after the Romanian AIMS-74 magazine, meant for 5.45x39mm ammunition, rather than a normal AKM magazine.
