Hey team,
I’ve run into a bug in Vigor’s keybinding system on PC.
I like to use the same control layout for every game I play.
Vigor won’t let me do that.
Here’s the issue:
The game allows custom keybindings in theory, but it won’t let me reassign keys already used in the default layout — even after I remove them.
Example:
I want to change crouch from Ctrl to C.
I get an error saying there’s a conflict.
I clear C from any other function — still get the error.
I even tried moving 1, 2, 3, 4 to 0, 9, 8, 7 to free them up — but the game still won’t let me assign those keys elsewhere.
It’s like the game pretends I never unbound them.
The game also will revert to default keybind when the function is left unassigned.
This problem happens with almost any key already used by the game — even if I’ve cleared it.
The only keys that seem to work are the ones the game never used in the first place.
I have a video showing the issue.
I can send it, just let me know the best way to share it.
I won’t play competitively — and I won’t stream — with a control scheme that doesn’t work for me.
If the core settings aren’t functioning properly, that’s a deal-breaker. I take performance seriously, and I expect the same from developers when it comes to fundamentals like controls and core game settings.
That said — I enjoy the game.
The concept is strong, and there’s a lot of potential here.
As a longtime fan of Bohemia Interactive (DayZ especially), I want to see Vigor succeed.
Please fix this issue.
It’s holding the game back. And I'm certain lots of people I feel the same way as I do about this issue.
Thanks for your time.
