Hello, I want to bring up the crossbow from the recent weapon overhaul to present. When the crossbow was rebalanced, something prevents the arrow from being rendered past 100meters. Before the weapon patch, I was fairly consistently able to land 150+meter body shots and with good frequecy good headshots at range. Now the crossbow is only viable under 100meters. I don't have video capability but you can go to the firing range. The crossbow can body shot and headshot the furthest scarecrow on the right. The bow can hit both round steel targets to the left of the scarecrow.Aim a little higher to the left (at the rocks) and the arrow dissappears. Aim higher to the left towards the last two steel targets and the arrow doesn't even make an impact (as indicated by a dust ploom). I have tried all manner of drop-compensation and testing in-game; the arrow vaporizes after 100m sometimes your target will show blood but no damage or report of an arrow "zipping" near them.I have been a deciple of the crossbow since I started playing; I like that you all fixed the rear sight and flattened the trajectory of the arrow a bit. I am aware of the high risk/high reward aspect of the weapon. Please fix the vaporizing arrow issue and the "sound" of the reload. The reload is nearly as loud as the mosin bolt getting racked. I cant make sense of either of these issues. Please fix on behalf of us crossbow users. Thank you Bohemia!

Geez, thank you for following up with this. I feel this has not been resolved completely. Maybe this issue should be framed or tabled to a future weapon update. It is still viable for folks to run around like maniacs with LMG's and assault rifles but the bow, a skill weapon, it's maximum distance has been severely retarded? Did the " Steps To Reproduce" make sense? Did you or the tester even try hitting the furthest targets of the shooting range or try hitting the tallest peak of the shooting range to look for an arrow impact? I do appreciate the follow-through with the ticket.
Yes, this was tested and yes the highest targets cannot be reached because they are further than the maximum firing range of the crossbow.
You can't see the arrow impact because the arrow despawns at crossbow maximum firing range and that's how all our weapons and projectiles work. All crossbow challenges are doable and can be completed.
Thank you Geez. I'll table this for another thread. I believe the arrow should not despawn at such a close distance when even a pistol, when compensated for drop, can kill a player at further distance. Like I said above: great effort on cleaning up the bows utility but not so great execution on the distance. That style of bow, arrow, and broadlead can go much further than 100-110m in real life.
