Spline entities don't render roads on load in.

Description

When loading in the tools per this video, you can see the spline, and road generators are in the hierarchy, but when opening the tools it looks like the road is not there.

Quick Fix: move spline/or generator slightly and it renders/loads in. viewport.

  • load in reforger tools, open the world im working on
  • note the spline IS in the hierarchy, as well as the road generator child for that spline.
  • observe the road is not visible.
  • move either spline or road generator entity and the road will appear.

this screenshot shows it also seems to affect runways, and both file paths for either roads /runways coming from prefabs > WEgenerators OR prefabslibrary generators we seem to get the same results.

Poking around I look at the flags of the generator entities obj properties, for my spline with a river entity attached to it, and I noticed editor Only is unchecked. and that always loads in no problems

I look at the roads and runways in question and under their generator entities, the editor Only is checked // object properties > general >Flags

and upon further inspection on other spline roads I have unchecked editor only and some immediately show the road generators in editor now.

However making those changes to match the river splines gen entity //obj properties, > general > flags, . I had saved and reloaded the reforger tools with the project. And while the unchecking of Editor Only for the generator persists, I still have to make any change or adjustment to either the spline or the generator in order for it to be visible.

however when I have made roads via spline generators. I am not having any issues. When I save and close reforger tools, and open it back up, I still get the roads as shown here.

Leading hypothesis most likely it seems either some data is lost/corrupt when transferred to perforce from the other users. or some setting the other users have is different.

I'll get their logs asap.
