Zombies can hit you too frequently due to netcode issues. When you are about to block a zombie attack but they move eradically and somehow end up right behind you at the very last milisecond and still hit you. Too many times I will be perfectly lined up to block zombie attacks but they still manage to hit me on the side or from behind.

Fight zombies in a city using only your fists.
Notice that 9/10 times you are able to block the zombies attacks and punch properly.
1/10 times the net-code and zombie coding merge into an unstoppable hit even when blocking. They will zip around or behind the player at the last possible second.
They will zip right behind you or to your side within the last millisecond before swiping.
This leads to a bad experience because it is unstoppable. No amount of training or knowledge will prevent being sliced by the zombie. You will be just "Day Z'd" as they say. Lost to the net-code lag along with the zombie stutter.
If you look closely at the zombie line of travel you will see the zombies do a J hook maneuver at the very last second before they attack the player. Please adjust the last seconds before zombie swipe to reflect the players location. So as to attack the front of the player. Not the back or side of the player at the very last possible second preventing any sort of safety. Or increase the player defense hitbox while blocking to include the sides of the player better.
Event Timeline
Any update on this? I feel like this has actually gotten worse recently. The zombies can almost teleport directly behind me sometimes despite me running around like a monkey on crack to avoid them.
