Using auto equip, triangle button from vicinity, I switched my NVGs with a carnival mask I found on a shelf in a building. My NVGs ended up in the roof of a building, above the shelf that the mask was on, instead of on the shelf.

This happens with most items on shelves in buildings. Sometimes the item swiched is unreachable and lost if it is too high or in a ceiling cavity.
