It is not possible to use VOIP when we are at a party
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When we're in a party with friends on XBOX, we can't use the game's VOIP. This significantly affects the immersion and experience in the game, as we are unable to interact with other survivors.

Join a party with friends and try to talk in the game. It doesn't work. You have to leave the party first.

That's how Xbox parties work in general. In any game you won't be able to talk in game when in parties. The way to talk in game chat is to go to party and switch to game chat using the switch voice chat option to talk into voice chat and you can also switch back to party chat after you are done with in game chat.

Thanks for the quick response. I'd like to make a suggestion for improvement, if I may: some games like Warzone, PUBG and others have the option to join a group of the game itself instead of the Xbox party. In this case, it would be possible to talk to people outside of our group, as we are not in a party. I don't know if I was clear.

in some games. you cant play if you ae in an xbox party.
i would love this to be a feature on dayz, then dayz would have to be played the way it was intended, using personal radios and proximity chat only. true hardcore survival experience.

but to add to neotitoneli, the button to activate the microphone, on the dpad, should override the party in my opinion, allowing a quick solution to speak in game chat
ironically, i tried customising the keybinding of the capture button on the controller within the xbox settings, the only feature it doesnt allow to be bound to that button is changing from game chat to party chat and vice versa.

a big oversight from xbox
