Any time building a watch tower over two stories high. The items dropped underneath it will automatically spawn on top of the watchtower making it difficult to retrieve your items in high stress situations such as pvp. Also if you build a gate close to the watchtower and unlock the gate it will spawn the code lock on top making it a long process to retrieve the lock if you have strategically built a base that requires no stairs on the first level.
