Hi,
When using explosives to destroy a gate or a wall that has been built inside somewhere, the explosive damage is unable to target the object, hence leaving the walls/fences/gates undamaged.
As far as I understood the explosive damage targets the wall_base (frame). This has been an issue for a long time and a lot of communities want this to be fixed. Since there is an option in the cfggameplay to allow objects to be build indoor etc., it needs to work as well as being built outside.
This issue is causing a lot of frustration amongst players and a lot of work with server owners. When a wall/gate is undestructible by explosives there is not way to raid a base successfully without help from server owners/admins.
In the video I have attached there are 3 clips.
1st clip: I am placing an IED outside of a gate that has been built indoors with enough explosives to take it down. No damage is recorded to ever affect the gate itself. I proceed with placing another IED on the inside of that gate, close to the wall_base; but the results are not satisfying since only the top part of that gate is destroyed (when in fact the whole gate should have been destroyed).
2nd & 3rd clip: Sent in by players who first attack a wooden gate with ammunition. The health of the gate was low enough to take it down with one grenade, but as you can see, the player shoots 1 Ammo_40mm_Explosive and it does nothing. They proceed with dropping 10 grenades in total and the gate still withstood (not shown in the video).
