Both the NVA and MACV howitzers artillery pieces have non-functioning scopes. In both cases, the scopes feature aiming marks to use for optical ranging of the target. However, in both cases, the scope is zoomable - therefore the optical ranging is non functioning.

Because howitzers generally don't need direct fire scopes, I suggest simply removing the optical aiming lines and zoom features.
