In one of the experimental servers I found a Derringer that was loaded and I wanted to remove the ammo. I pressed Y and it fired. I pressed it again to see if I hit the wrong button but it fired the second shot. When empty pressing Y would play the unloading animation but the hammer would also visibly move. I also found a revolver and the same thing happened with it.
