i have been experiencing a bug where i cant hold X to drop loot out of a vest or storage . i need to put it in my hand and then drop or take the vest in my hand and drop . this is very time consuming when doing inventory maintenance. it is the same with dragging and dropping loot into a vest .

I'm experiencing problems on Xbox where I can't take anything out of my vest at all.. I usually have a plate carrier on with pouches and holster attached. Everytime I try to take something out of the pouches it puts the gun from the holster to my hands if it's equipped. If there is no gun equipped to the holster it just won't let me take anything out. Almost died because of this. I could not get bandages out to wrap a cut. Bled out until a friend managed to patch me up.
One thing I learned afterwards, but doesn't work with all objects was to assign them to the quick wheel and then you can use that to get them to hands. This worked with the bandages but not the box of ammo I wanted to open.
