I buried a drysack on an official server at around 10am. Came back 8pm to dig it up. Found the pile of dirt. Proceeded to dig up the drysack. I let go of the R2 trigger (action button to hold for dig action) at the very end of the circles completion, and also pressed touchpad, I was viewing my inventory at the same time as I was digging, so it didnt cancel the dig action, and there was no drybag, but animation had finished and the circle had completed its revolution. The drysack was in good condition.
