Managed to get my Soft needle skill on official maxed out yet I still can't fix things to Pristine!
Is there any reason to this or point in having the soft skill aside from fixing things slightly faster or us that the whole point of the skill?

You can't repair it to pristine. It is already worn. Regardless of the skill maxed out. Pristine guns, clothes that you don't see on official is from community mods.
