I am a Serveradmin on a Hardcore Server and we think that the current CLE settup has a weakness that is going to haunt vanilla servers eventualy aswell if you guys keep adding more military weapons.
We started Hosting servers back in arma 2 were each item had a spawnchance and nothing more. so that was not realy a Economy. But it had one important upside. High Tier items where actualy hard to find.
When we settup our loot economy, i can set a min, a max and the tier.
Lets say i have a weapon for tier 4 and set its min and max to 1... players that go to tissy frequently will almost always find that weapon (if it didnt spawn in the western checkpoint).
i think that is very suboptimal. especialy when i want a high tier item to be relatively rare.
the CLE how it works now works fine for tier 1, 2 and 3. but tier 4 and the toxic zone are only small areas and thus makes it problematic to build a economy that doesnt just scream "Go there and pick the item up cuz it is almost always there"
I would love if the Looteconomy gives us an option to give items a %-chance of spawning.
so instead of a minimum i can set a max-number and a %-chance.
Then the game checks in regular intervals X-times the %-chance and spawns them based on that chance.
X beeing the difference between the number of that item on the server and the max number set.
So lets say we have a weapon with the max number of 1 and a 10% chance to apear.
an existing item will only exist for its set lifetime and then disapear again or will be picked up durring its lifetime.
after that it will have a 10% chance of appearing again. cuz right now its basicly 100% always when i go to tissy and look for a specific item in tier 4. just need to loot every building there.
i hope i have described my suggestion clear enough for you to understand.
