Character loss due to server connection error

Gamer tag: SplnkEG0at57
Xbox One user with good internet connection.
Server: SG - 6811
Area on the map: MB Zeleno

15 minutes before server restart (around 5pm Pacific time on 10/11/21 rough estimate) the game began to lag dramatically (closing/opening doors with 30+ seconds delay, delay in item pick up and drop).

Attempted to log off in a closed building only to begin getting hit by infected (no infected were around me). I attempted to retrace my steps but got knocked out from all the hits (again no infected in my vicinity). Got knocked out and died. Logged off in the lobby. I keep receiving error 23 in the server lobby on and off since.

Did some research and I think Xbox may have had a service outage because I received the 0x87dd0006 error code for this Xbox account. My other accounts are functioning totally fine which is only adding to my confusion.

Any input would be appreciated in the slim chance I can recover my character.

Tough to reproduce as Xbox Error code 0x87dd0006 may be required first?

  1. Log into server SG - 6811
  2. Interact with the map (open doors, pick up / drop items)

Any input would be appreciated in the slim chance I can recover my character.

Unfortunately, we do not reimburse any lost character.
We will take a look if everything is in order with the server to possibly prevent issues in the future.

It also appears that there have been no issues with the server and that the issue might indeed be related to the xbox service outtage.
