Is it possible to add storage to the ammo crates. As is now you can add a arsenal to them but no individual items our unit would like to use them as resupply boxes. The boxes are Ammo Crates 1 - 4 and the class names are Land_vn_us_weapons_stack1 , Land_vn_us_weapons_stack2 , Land_vn_us_weapons_stack3 , Land_vn_us_weapons_stack4.

The assets listed by you are simple objects which can be placed in missions and such for decoration. They do not have the functionality you are looking for.
What you are looking for is in the "Vietnam Objects/Structures --> Supply" section.
There you can find empty boxes that have the functionality.
