Garden plot bug
Assigned, UrgentPublic

Description

Doing more investigations but I seem to have a few issues with garden plots. I fertilise them with garden lime. The first crop of plants is fine. After subsequent crops I can never add more garden lime, but the quantity of yield ends up being fixed at 4. Lower than if there was no fertiliser, using tomatoes for this test. So I end up having to dig up and re lay the plot to get a reasonable yield.

What is also sometimes happening is I place seeds down, have no option to water, but the seeds will not grow, I can just pick them up again. Reset seems to fix that.

Just to absolutely confirm as I've tried again. There's a yield bug regardless...

  1. make garden plot, fertilise some spots with garden lime and not others, so you can compare.
  1. grow say tomatoes. Usual yield is around 7 for none garden lime, about double for garden lime.
  1. pull these plants out once you harvest or they've died. You will find you cannot add more fertiliser to spots where you already added it in the past. Even after endlessly growing plants.
  1. grow new set of plants. You will find all these plants, regardless of being on apparently fertilised soil or not, now only yield 4 tomatoes.

Just want to add its separate but does involve the garden plot so worth mentioning.

I am noticing at times if I grow some plants on a plot. Then I remove the plot, it will not let me place the plot in that location again.

This seems sporadic, just happening sometimes. I think perhaps when harvesting or pulling out a plant an item is disappearing under the ground and so is blocking rhe area.

This is harder to test as I can't reliably repeat it, but I think the item doing it is the plant material.

... And some more info for you guys haha.

So with the latest patch it seems to have changed a bit. I have observed I can now add more fertiliser to each part of the plot once I've used it already. However I still get less back than if I use a fresh plot and fertilise it. It isn't stuck on 4, but I still get less.

Also I find if I fertilise say all the squares in the plot. If I use one square then pull the plant out after harvesting, the graphics will make the fertilised soil disappear from the other 8 plots. But it is still there functionally, just a visual bug. It suddenly returns if I fertilise a single used plot sometimes but not every time.
