Not sure if intended but grenades go a country mile every time no matter what. I was surrounded by at least 25 enemies because I got downed trying to extract to the LZ during eldest son. As I was laying prone I started trying to hit large groups that were in front of me. Every grenade no matter if I tried to aim it at the ground first either got thrown really far or hit the ground as intended but still managed to just end up what had to be 25-30 feet away
