In Grozovoy Pass on 1.12 experimental (DayZ EU - DE 3536 (Experimental/Unstable)) i found 7 cans of food/drink + a potato.

Patch notes states that

• Reduced the amount of food spawning in high-tier areas

Seems like cars (probably not only cars) still spawn too much food. Before that i found even more cans in Tisy and Pobeda camp, especially on infected.
Overall it doesn't feel like the stated change works, and there is no noticible lack of food wherever on the map even when you ignore animals/hunting.
