Feature Request: Analog Flaps binding
New, NormalPublic

Description

Good morning,

Not so much a bug report as a feature request for users with advanced controller setups that I wouldn't think would be too difficult. Would it be possible to get an analog flaps bind so that it can be bound to an axis. Some HOTAS are starting to come with flaps levers, and it would be great to be able to map that correctly. In particular, it would be a critical development for VTOL aircraft - being able to control the nacelles with an analog input would make these craft far more viable. As it stands, the flaps do not work when bound to an axis - they register up or down flaps once on a positive input, and once down on a negative input.

Thank you!

Steps To Reproduce
  • Bind an axis to flaps up/down
  • Pilot any plane
  • Observe that you are only able to increment/decrement once per direction, limiting you to no flaps or Flaps 1. You can not reach Flaps 2.
  • Pilot a VTOL aircraft
  • Observe similar behavior - you are only able to switch between two nacelle states, not obtain the full range of motion.
