I had lit a stove in a house and went outside to see what the smoke looked like coming out of the stove smokestack. It was during the night cycle.
Backing away from the house I observed the low visability smoke silhouette and the fact there was no telltale light coming off the stove with its door shut. Good job!
As I turned away from the house the front yard and beyond were suddenly fully illuminated by firelight. I rotated to my left and right and saw the illumination was visible only at certain angles (no angle was ever facing toward the fire source). I've seen this before on prior stable updates but have generally quit using visible light sources/fires at night for tactical reasons. Headshots come to mind <pun intended>.
I don't know if this had been previously fixed but in any case it is a very compromising bug during the use of the excellent stove.
