A suggestion for "hardcore mode" on the servers
New, NormalPublic

Description

I love dayz, but atm I think you should add a hardcore mode for the oldschool player base. I feel like this game is currently leaving the hardcore fanbase that wants the game to be hard, realistic and painful.

When you added first persion view as a server option it had me think about other options you potentially could add to the game, which would make it more realistic and more hardcore.

Here are my suggestions to the "Hardcore mode" server option:

1: Add bullet damage to limbs. (Unable to walk, force walk slow, force crawl and unable to raise arm)
2: Add realistic gravity when it comes to player movement. (More like Arma 3 or Escape from Tarkov. This would make the gun battles a lot more interesting, and you would force players to be more tactical. The movement of the player is currently very unrealistic in dayz. It feels like there's no gravity when players make a u-turn at full speed and running zigzag)
3: Add a more realistic shock damage when a player gets shot. (More knock out's, stunned time)
4: Add more realistic damage by guns in general. (Players can get hit by many bullets before they die, which usally only happens when a person is on a lot of hard drugs like meth, amphetamine etc).
5: Tweak the loot system and loot drop from zombies and make the players more dependent on PvP, co-operation and the resources of nature. (Hunting, fishing, making campfires, crafting clothes etc should be mandatory in a post apocalyptic world)
6: Longer respawn timers for loot. (This would also force players to interact with eachother to get the stuff they want)
7: No internal lamp for dark nights. (This should be like in the good ole days)

If you could find a way to make this into a server mode I think you would please a lot of players.

When I read on different forums I can identify 2 groups of players: The old school Dayz players that only plays first person, constantly complaining about how great it was back in the days when they played the mod, and the New Dayz players that plays third person (peak mode), not really caring about what Dayz really started out as.

These two groups will never meet in the middle. This is why I think you could please both parts by making two game modes.

Please consider a hardcore mode for Dayz.

Keep up the good work!
