Wearable equipment such as backpacks and vests should not show a non-neutral thermal signature when wearing a stealth uniform. The thermal signature should reflect that of the underlying uniform or if simulated, the absorbed temperature from the surface it is resting on. The following is a list of wearable equipment that display a visually different signature than the uniform despite wearing a thermally neutral stealth uniform (CTRG stealth uniform or CSAT Viper special stealth uniform):
Backpacks:
- Bergen Backpack (all color variations: Digital, Hex, MTP, Tropic) - appears overly cool compared to uniform
- Messenger Bag (all color variations: Black, Coyote, Gray, Olive, IDAP) - appears warm compared to uniform
- Viper Harness (all color variations: Black, Green Hex, Hex, Khaki, Olive) - appears cooler than uniform
- Viper Light Harness (all color variations: Black, Green Hex, Hex, Khaki, Olive) - appears cooler than uniform
Possible Exceptions (disregard if these are designed to have a thermal signature):
- Combination Unit Respirator - appears hot
- Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus - appears hot
- UGV Bag (all ED variations) - appears overly cool with a hot barrel
Vests:
- EOD Vest (all color variations: Blue, Blue [IDAP], Coyote, Olive) - appears hot
- Identification Vest( Red Crystal, IDAP) - appears hot
- Kipchak Vest - appears warm
- Kipchak Vest (Tactical Radio) - appears warm
- LBV Grenadier Harness (all color variations: Default, Green hex, Grey) - appears hot and warm
- LBV Harness (all color variations: Gefault, Green hex, Grey) - appears hot and warm
- Multi-Pocket Vest (all color variations: Black, Coyote, Olive) - appears hot
- Raven Vest - appears hot
- Safety Vest (all color variations: Blue, Orange, Yellow) - appears hot
