This has happened twice with my last two characters. I come across two infected framed by a structure, a just opened door way or once around the corner of a covered picnic table. I immediately go to crouch to back away stealthily and avoid axe collision with the structure, the zombos agro and my character is stuck in crouch with no controller input possible except menu and PS buttons. The only option is to try to exit as zombies swarm, dying in the process. The events occurred while wearing hunter jackets and pants. Once on the second floor I think of Pavlovo hospital after opening a door from the right. The second time at the covered picnic table at the castle on Black Mountain, again approaching from the right. Both times have been in day light with a shot gun in hand, perhaps in the process of very quickly switching to a hotkeyed splitting axe. No axe is visible at the time of death. Thank you by the way for this fantastic game and development effort.

Hello fester_von_Zip.
If you open and close quickslot menu, does the issue solve itself? If so, we are aware of this issue and it is scheduled for a fix.

Geez

Hi Geez,

It had happened again and somehow I managed to get out of it at the very last minute. The circumstances were similar, a zombie attacking then stuck in crouch. If it happens another time, I will test just the quickslot menu button calmly (instead of frantically spamming all buttons). I will report back. Thanks again.

Hey Geez,

It has happened a number of times since, usually in the panic of the moment (a button mash). But I did get out of it once with the quickslot menu button as you recommended though the circumstances were calmer.

Anyway, thank you.

Regards.
