Still had some issues regarding not having the item in hand then shown on screen.
This instance involved dragging a radiator from the ground to my inventory, and also turning it 90 degrees. Did not work
Second try I tried to drag to hands but it seemed to be stuck in place, no drag box.
Third drag went to hands, then I dropped it in my backpack, but seems I still had it in hand. After relog it showed.
I sometimes find items that are stuck in place, or it shows that for me, but its rarely that I see it.
I clipped and trimmed my recording if you want to see.
