Support Artillery Shells Not Landing [v1.94]

Description

The experienced problem occurs in the East Wind campaign during the Preventive Diplomacy. Upon taking the solar energy base and regrouping before taking the next town, open the UAV and target with the laser. Attempts to call artillery strikes seem to have no effect. Despite the verbal communication about firing the rounds and the "splash" confirmation, no rounds were observed or heard striking anywhere in the vicinity.

I tried playing with the laser, like pressing T to see if it was necessary but that didn't seem to help. I tried different types of rounds but none have landed.

As the artillery has a major role to completing this mission, marking the severity as Major.
I haven't tried restarting this mission, but every time I load a recent save in this mission, the problem persists. So, marking reproducibility as always.

Steps To Reproduce

East Wind - Preventive Diplomacy

  1. Open the UAV terminal and connect to the UAV gunner.
  2. Point to a target location with the laser pointer turned on.
  3. Call on the support artillery for a strike.
  4. Wait for the "splash" confirmation.
  5. Wait a few more seconds.
  6. Observed that no artillery shells have landed.

Hi,
I have tried severel times and I was able to finish mission with help of the artillery. Could you please attach here your savegame? It's here: c:\Users\Username\Documents\Arma 3\Saved\A3\ for default profile or c:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\PROFILENAME if you play on non default profile.

So, upon further testing, it seems to me that the problem happens while keeping the laser actively pointing at the target for the entire duration of calling artillery support and waiting for the explosion.

I tried calling artillery by keeping the laser turned OFF for the entire duration and it works, but inaccurate. The same experience also works by designating a target on the map. You can see on the map an ETA countdown, though the countdown also seems inaccurate - the countdown will finish before I receive the "splash" confirmation and shortly afterwards there will be some artillery strikes close to the target location.

Is the laser supposed to help increase accuracy? I should not keep the laser turned on from start to finish?

Actually, it seems to work with the laser turned on all of the time now too.

This bug may have been a random occurrence that has since resolved itself after rebooting the game/PC.

Yes, laser is supposed for higher accuracy for laser guided ammunition so it is correct if you mark target with laser until targer is hit/destroyed by artillery.
I have tried it from your savegame and artillery fire has worked and I was able to finish mission. It seems like random bug.
