I have found little workaround which works in mission discussion:

you NEED to switch to the 32-bit .exe to start the mission. You can save and exit, switch back to 64-bit, and play the mission, but if you don't start the first 30 seconds of the mission in the 32-bit version, it crashes. Something in the mission isn't compatible.
