I was about to say the same! Can not pick up anything they have on them, I have also killed multiple who have rucksacks on and you can't take that either... things have been added to the game which is great but they havent been made properly... quite frustrating when paying so much for a game.

This is on the PS4 platform

I'm having the same problem on xbox. I used to be able to pick up loot from infected before update, strangely, my team mate could pick the items from infected bodies. I'm now reinstalling the game as I have another glitch where my inverted y axis settings don't save when I quit and restart the game.

Only way I found around it was by moving the item to your hands
