Some items when you move them from your hands to the ground will appear standing on end and half buried into the ground, instead on lying flat. When you move the same item from your inventory backpack/clothes to the ground then it lays flat onto the ground normally. Doesn't seem to affect all items, i notice it affect car wheels, gas canisters, jerry gas can, plus most weapons.
