After being killed, player bodies disappear too quickly. There isn't enough time to retrieve their gear when in a battle with player groups.

Kill a player.
Player bodies should stay in place for a much longer time frame to allow looting. Ideally, they should stay until the server restarts or until the player that was killed respawns for a second time.

I agree. The dead player despawn is far too quick and doesn't give enough time to check area is safe before looting. As it is it just encourages players to rush looting newly killed player (and probably get killed) and detracts from tactical play.
Can this be increased to 20 minutes (or more)? The tense stand off after having killed a player before daring to move in to loot was one of the most heart pounding moments from the Dayz mod days. It was also terrifying arriving at a location to find a dead body not knowing if the killer was still around.
