No matter what the player changes their name to they will show up as survivor in text chat or to server admins using DART and in the server log's
This makes it very difficult to act fast on hackers as looking through the player list or logs just would take far to long.
Not only that but the players when they meet ingame will not be able to know if they have already talked to a player before as their names would not be easy to remember.

INMHO this needs to be fixed ASAP

only work around is in STEAM > RIGHT CLICK ON DAYZ > PROPERTIES > SET LAUNCH OPTIONS > Then ADD

-name YOURPLAYERNAME

accept then restart the game from fresh
