It started the moment he shot at me, the muzzle flash doesn't go away and light up the player in a yellow glow. I can't exactly say if it followed him while he was moving and not shooting, but I noticed the same kind of light sources inside of Zeleno last night during a gunfight and there were no players near those light sources.
