Sometimes after using a hotkey to equip and unequip the knife stored in the assault boots, it will return to that slot. Other times it will not. I do not have a repeatedly series of steps to reproduce this reliably.

Steps To Reproduce
- Get assault boots and a combat knife or hunting knife
- Put the knife in the assault boots sheath
- Map the knife to a hockey
- Press the hotkey to equip the knife
- Press the hotkey again to unequip the knife
- Observe whether or not the knife returns to the boots
- Press the hotkey to equip the knife
- Press a separate hotkey to equip a different item
- Observe whether or not the hotkey returns to the sheath
