it took me hours to gather enough material to build a base made of wooden fences. Once completed I tried to see how easy it would be to damage it. I was able to completely destroy a whole fence in less than a minute with a badly damaged hatchet. There is no point in going through the effort to build a base if it is that easy to breach. A hatchet should not be able to be used to damage a base or should at least take hours of sustained effort. Bases need to be destructible but should take a sustained amount of time and energy to do so so that if a player logs on every day they could repair it there is a good chance it will last. No one will make a base if it is too easy to breach.
