After every weekly server maintenance buried stashes tend to despawn. I could understand this behaviour being implemented on official servers to keep everything running smoothly by wiping the persistence on a weekly basis, but, community servers are affected by this behaviour as well.

I've tested burying stashes in different locations, ruled out the possibility of stashes being despawned through normal gameplay ( i.e. other players finding & digging up said stashes) by testing on a passworded / locked, empty server, and made sure that stashes are not being despawned by hitting the decay timer in seconds for the CLE to remove them.

After checking all of the above, the only commonality to the phenomenon of stashes despawning is that it happens straight after weekly server maintenance. Before servers go down (again, this includes community servers with persistent databases) stashes are spawning / respawning properly at normal & unscheduled server restarts, but immediately following maintenance they have completely disappeared.

I understand base building is yet to be fully implemented, but surely it should be up to server owners on the community section of the game as to whether they want their persistence forcibly wiped on a weekly basis ?
