Per conversations on twitter @rogan68 today, instructed to create ticket. My Arma 3 is stuck on DEV branch, even though it is not set for dev. Conversations with @Arma3Official are as follows:
@rogan68 - Why will Arma NOT launch 'non-dev' version? I'm opted out of beta stuff, but still launches DEV branch launcher?
@Arma3official - Hi, have you tried a full restart of your Steam Client, as well as a local file cache verification?
@Rogan68 - this all started with the DEV branch of launcher, and won't let me return to standard.
@Arma3official - We're not sure what moment you're referring to. The Launcher was added in 2014. Which version number of the Launcher and game do you currently see?
@Rogan68 -
Launcher version: 1.5.144923
Game version: 1.84.144923
Branch: development
Windows 10, 16gb, 1050Ti, i7-2600K @ 4.4GHz
@Rogan68 - I've got well over 1000hrs in Arma3, so I'm aware of how long the launcher has been around. However, something has changed and now I can no longer play on any server (official or not) for more than a couple minutes before being booted. All started with the DEV launcher issue.
@Arma3Official - Understood. And your Steam Client shows no "[development]" behind "Arma 3" in the library? But at the same time your Launcher shows the "DEV" ribbon? Are you using the Game Updater tool (https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Game_Updater …)?
@Rogan68 - Additionally, same thing will happen if I use Arma3Launcher. The ONLY servers I do NOT get kicked from (tried once) was the @MGTrolls servers.
@Arma3official - The Dev-Branch is not multiplayer-compatible with Main Branch, so that is expected we think. What is weird is that your game thinks it's on Dev-Branch. Could you please create a Feedback Tracker ticket with start-up RPT log for more analysis?
