Overall game health would be elevated greatly with the removal of the 3pp camera. The only thing a 3pp camera does is let players abuse it's obviously flawed mechanics. DayZ is a hardcore survival simulator, none of that description warrants 3pp. It might be a rough transition at first but in the end players will thank you for it. I always akin 3pp camera to training wheels on a bicycle, you don't ride with training wheels into your adulthood. Even in the mod 3pp servers were labeled "beginner" and 1pp were labeled "expert". The game is meant to be played in 1pp only. It is a more visceral, immersive and competitively balanced experience. The only reason the game has a 3pp playerbase is because these people have had their hands held by 3pp and are afraid to let go. I get it, it's scary. But so is life. They are also reinforced by the reddit hive mind that perpetuates the lie that 1pp has no population. While 1pp pop is lower than 3pp pop it is certainly not dead and with the removal of these 3pp hand holding mechanics, players will then be like baby birds being forced to leave the nest. They might squawk and make a ruckus but in the end they will grow up because of it. In the end, DayZ will be a better game with the removal of the 3pp camera option.
