Gun becomes "magazine jammed"
New, NormalPublic

Description

I've had now two guns turn into junk metal, first was a scorpion and second AK, by going into a state where I cannot remove the magazine in it. It still functions as long as there is ammo in and you can recycle rounds by pressing 'r' but if you try to swap the magazine or just drag it out, the hotbar icon goes red for a while (as if doing the mag swap animation) but nothing happens.

The problem hits and sticks to a gun, I have a USG45 on the same character and it has no problems with swapping magazines. Dropping and picking up the gun or anything like that that I've tried doesn't seem to clear this state.

This happened on Stress test #31 and the previous instance was on either #30 or #29, not sure which.

Steps To Reproduce

Ok, found a way to reproduce (RIP my USG45). Go to a tight space where you don't have room to perform the animation of changing the magazine. I tested this tucked in a corner on second story of a house, first I was facing towards the center of the room and dropping the magazine by dragging it to vicinity worked normally.

Then I turned a bit to face furniture (so I would not be able to eg. raise the gun in that position) and tried to drop the magazine from the gun which resulted in no change on the inventory side (still present in the gun's magazine slot, no magazine in vicinity), but the gun visibly does no longer have the magazine and thus it cannot be taken out or swapped.

After dropping the gun for good and saying goodbyes to it, I realized that the gun as a "physical" object actually does NOT have a magazine attached even though the inventory representation (even while on ground) does indicate there being one.

So what has probably happened is that I've removed the magazine but the inventory representation has for some reason not registered this while the physical one has, so they disagree and attempts on removing the non-existent magazine obviously fail.
