Rain Effects - Visibility
New, NormalPublic

Description

I noted what appears to be an unusual effect during rain storms (light to heavy) although it is significantly more pronounced during heavy rain storms.

During heavy rain storms the rain has varying levels of contrast against the surrounding environment. This causes varying levels of visibility however it creates a halo of clear visibility surrounding the character model of approximately 25 to 30 metres due to zero contrast with the ground and dark coloured environment objects.

This effect is present during light to medium levels of rain but is reduced significantly.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Turn on some rain
  2. Position character in various places (open fields, forests, on hills, tree lines, etc.)
  3. Observe varying levels of contrast with the rain and its effects on visibility.

I have marked up one screen shot and provided another as reference to this effect during a heavy rain storm.

Also included a treeline image not marked up though with similar contrasts

Additional Information

Not sure if this is an intended environmental effect however it seems off and perhaps the contrast of the rain needs to be examined and tweaked.
