Description

If a player can get on the roof of an armored ground vehicle, he can go into the lower substance of the Crouch stance (Crouch, then CTRL + S) and aim directly down. This will allow him to see the inside of the vehicle, and not only that but also shoot through the roof. He is therefore able to kill the crew with even something like a pistol!

Tested on:
Slammer UP (gunner in this vehicle is invisible)
Varsuk
Modded Vehicles (RHS Escalation) - BMP models, BMD, T-90, etc...

it seems to work on pretty much all vehicles.
Players can get on the roof in the vanilla base game by simply jumping off a balcony / using a helicopter insertion / paradropping... the possibilities are endless

Steps To Reproduce

as mentioned in the description above:

  1. gain access to the roof of an armored vehicle (Enhanced Mobility mod, paradropping, jumping off a balcony onto the tank, getting a Hummingbird pilot to hover above it)
  2. crouch, and then use CTRL + S to get into the lower substance of the Crouch stance (So, correct stance would be Crouch - 1, or Prone + 2)
  3. aim directly down. If done correctly the player is now able to see inside of the tank.
  4. shoot the crew in the vehicle! Sometimes the crew is invisible, but simply shooting their seat location will still kill them.

As I have gotten complaints that this bug "doesn't work in vanilla" from some people -- here's proof that it works by simply proning under a tank and looking up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQNirSbl2iY

furthermore, it is VERY POSSIBLE in vanilla - just get on top of the tank (as i said before.. jump from somewhere or from a heli). You wont be able to walk on top of the tank, but you can vault to move to wherever your mouse is pointing, then simply CTRL + S again and shoot through the roof.
