ARMA 3 crashes on start-up from Steam UI.
Acknowledged, NormalPublic

Description

I haven't played ARMA 3 in a few weeks now (at least since its last "significant" update...1.2GB). But now when pressing the "Play" icon in Steam, the game will just crash with the corresponding error message & bug reported saved to my desktop:

"Unexpected error occurred:
The type initializer for '<Module>' threw an exception..."

SOLVED: ARMA 3 apparently does not like Microsoft .net framework higher than version 4.6.2. I uninstalled .net v4.7 and reinstalled version 4.6.2 and ARMA 3 no longer crashes on start up! Sounds like a serious bug that BI should address!

Hello,
I'm afraid we can't do nothing about this error. According to the log the error occured when one of .NET Framework's libraries attempted to load another. This might be related to this issue with .NET Framework 4.7 on Windows 7: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4020302/the-net-framework-4-7-installation-is-blocked-on-windows-7-windows-ser
