Every time i try to play anything on Arma 3 it crashes but only when I'm about to start actual gameplay (Offline single player or online multiplayer). The menu's and server browsers and cutscenes all work fine, it's just when i'm literally about to take control of a character and start gameplay.

This just started to happen recently. I have about 111 hours on my account and its never done this up until now and I haven't made any major changes to my PC so I'm not sure why this is happening. I've followed the steps listed on the wiki that I'm able to follow unless i'm doing them wrong but nothing's fixed it so i thought maybe you guys could look at the error log and just be able to tell me what the issue is and how I can fix it because i really want to get back to playing this more.

What steps did you follow? Please describe clearly what you have tried so far.
Best practice is to disable all mods and check game file integrety prior to submit a bug report.
In your logfile are several strange occourrences:
1st: it lists an unknown DLC with appID -1
2nd: it says Arma3 (modDir=A3) not found
3rd: it lists lots of "strange convex component in geometryFire"
4th: it complains that final functions are attempted to be overwritten (perhaps mod problem?)
5th: it says "Some of magazines weren't stored in soldier Vest or Uniform?"
6th: last message before ACCESS_VIOLATION is "weather was forced to change".
my opinion is that the gamedirectory is corrupted. I suggest you to uninstall Arma 3 in steam and then delete the directory
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3
completely. After that download the whole game again.
Also it is not stupid to let windows do a scandisk for your C: drive.

I have tried joining other servers, playing the campaign, and playing the showcases but nothing works.
I updated my graphics card drivers because they were out of date.
The temperature of the PC seemed normal.
I verified the integrity of the game cache using steam.
I have scanned my computer for viruses with two different antivirus software.
Deleted all Arma 3 mods.
Uninstalled and reinstalled arma 3 twice now.
After all this i just tried again and i still got the same error code.
EDIT: I also ran a "Windows System File Check tool" and it came back as fine.

This really sounds bad!
Another possibility is that your Arma 3 profile directory somehow got corrupted. Next thing you could try is to
locate your arma 3 profile folder (my documents\arma 3) and rename that folder to "arma 3.old" (or so)
and try again.
If this still fails be sure to rename your folder back!
One last thing is that perhaps the workshop files cause the corruption. To verify this you should
- close steam
- open the directory 'C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content'
- move the folder 107410 (which is for arma 3), as well as the file "appworkshop_107410.acf" (it is located one directory level higher) to a temporary location. (Best is on the same drive, because it works the fastest)
- restart steam
- all workshop objects for arma 3 should be gone!
- try agian.
If fail copy everything back.
if the crash still occours please submit another reportLog. With that I will then compare this with your first reportLog.
Maybe we can track down the issue.
