It should be possible to use a key for the new ejection seat feature. When you are really close to crash into the ground or a missle is going to hit you, its impossible to select the specific entry in the scroll menu in time. This makes the ejection seat almost useless. You have only time to use it, if you can predict very early that you're going to crash.
