Ambient wind noise is only altitude dependent and independent of actual wind strength
New, NormalPublic

Description

With recent dev builds (eg 1.73.131946) the new ambient wind noise feature results in overpowering gale force wind sounds when the player is more than 100m ASL. Increasing altitude worsens the effect.

Setting the actual wind strength to zero does not alleviate the noise, nor does moving inside.

The wind noise overpowers all other environmental noises on regions of maps with significant elevation (eg Malden 2035)

Steps To Reproduce

Load Altis
Set player at Agios Konstantinos (~20m ASL)
0 setwindstr 0 in debug console
No wind noise will be heard

Move player to the top of nearby Kira (~240m)
Wind noise is deafening
hint str windstr in console will display 0, indicating actual wind strength is zero.

Additional Information

The ambient wind noise needs to be either toned down by 90%, or a script command introduced to disable it. The current implementation is detracting from the audio immersion when it's meant to enhance it.
