Steps To Reproduce

1)click on steam on the lower corner--> arma 3 logo--> loading momentarily-->corrupted configuration/crash

from steam, games, arma 3, play, corrupted configuration/ crash

Additional Information

I have...

~uninstalled and re-installed arma 3 atleast 2 times.

~looked for anything arma 3 related and deleted it
~deleted steam and re installed it.
~added arma 3 to nvidea white list
~added arma 3 to windows white list

The only way I play arma 3 is by pressing ont he arma3battleeye logo. This allows me to play multiplayer, but I have noticed it only allows me to play King of the Hill multiplayer and some official servers.

I can't play exile or any of the other servers available.

I've messaged bi studios forums and arma 3 forums. Both no help as of yet.

Also, I cannot get on A3 launcher-it shows--"Error- Error gettings data, please try again later."

Hello,
the configuration file for .NET Framework that is shared by all applications based on .NET Framework on your computer is corrupted. You can try to run Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135 or restore the machine.config file from a backup manually:

make sure you can see file name extensions in your file explorer;
go to the folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Config;
there should be these 2 files: machine.config, machine.config.default;
rename machine.config to something else (for example to old_machine.config);
make a copy of machine.config.default and rename it to machine.config.

I tried to run the Microsoft .NET framework repair tool. No success after that.

I changed the machine.config.default to machine.config after deleting the old machine.config.

Tried to run it through steam, click steam, arma, play.

Got this error notice:

I'm still having problems, I'm wondering if there's anything more I can do up to this point..

So, just a quick thought--

I've tried downloading newest NET framework, (4.5). When it installs, it says a current version or higher is installed already. So I assume the NET framework 4.5 is all good.

When I'm reading the report, I notice it mentioning about /Local/appdata/temp/netframework 4.0 etc etc. (something like that)

SO, Can I.....:

A) delete all the local temp files and folders?

a) delete all the local temp framework 4.0 file and folders?

B)go into C/windows/microsoft/framework/.... and delete the 4.0 file and folders?

I uploaded my machine.config files and the newest emergency log.

What you've uploaded is not a correct machine.config file, but in contains a content of another file - web.config. The correct machine.config file should look like this:

Can I take yours and put it in mine?

because I made a copy of the default file and changed that to machine.config.

well, that worked.

I"ve never seen the launcher till now.

I took and downloaded your machine.config and deleted mine and replaced it with yours.

it works now it appears.
