CH-47 Huron Advanced Flight Model + Sling Loading (Vortex Ring State?)
New, NormalPublic

Description

The CH Huron, in Advanced flight model, when hovering at 10-20m serenely, suddenly and violently loses all lift, the airframe suddenly pitches up to twenty or so degrees in whatever direction, and full collective rarely saves it. The Q/E controls are related to this issue, almost instantly causing the problem on use.

It's killed me over and over in Sling Loading, and when I do survive it (half the time) the massive upward momentum from maxing collective aborts the rope tethering. (it doesn't help that the merest boop detonates the helo.)

Update: *manages to hitch the crate, full collective, hits the maximum rope length.*
Crate: Oh no you don't.
*Crate yanks on the rope hard, helo falls rapidly and detonates.*
This has been happening repeatedly, upon reaching the highest point of rope the Huron immediately loses lift and comes crashing down on top of the crate.

Repeatedly. As in I'm finding it genuinely impossible to use, compared to all other helicopters I've tried.

Props for adding Vortex Ring State if that's what you've done, but you've severely messed up the implementation. It's gimmicky with other helicopters as well, but nowhere near so much as the Huron. Please add an Engine RPM gauge.

Steps To Reproduce

Using a Mouse and Keyboard with default controls, Enter Showcase: Sling Loading in Advanced Flight Model

Fly to the first objective

Enter Auto-hover and activate sling assistant.

Begin to attempt to hover 10m over the objective container at 0m/sec and hook it. If your helicopter, which previously was on the perfect nil-altitude change collective suddenly loses or massively gains lift, congratulations.

Once hooked, hit full collective and attempt to take off. If your helicopter carries the crate a short distance and then suddenly loses lift, congratulations.
