So I know this is rather subjective but I think gunshot sounds are way too loud as compared to other sounds. IE: Running, doors, zombies, players just are too quiet compared to gunshots. Gunshots pretty much blowout my headphones. I think there should be a volume slider added ingame to allow for adjusting of gunshot sounds along with some other sounds maybe.
Event Timeline
It depends on how you look at the sound design, gunshots are meant to be loud and piercing, I do agree that footstep sounds need to be raised though, at least until they add a proper Stealth mechanic.
Adding a slider for Footsteps though might add a meta where everyone just raises to max because it gives you a clear aural advantage, I am not sure if the new Eden Sound Engine reduces SFX if the player is in a building and the source is outside.
