Description

It is not a bug per se, but something that hopefully can be taken into consideration for the future.

I think that most will agree that BI games would gain greatly from improved Global Illumination. It is not only a matter of improved graphical fidelity, which to be honest is quite obvious, but can have quite an impact on the gameplay.

Proper GI can add depth to the scene, especially to the vegetation, trees - which are quite common in DayZ and ArmA series.
It can make indoors and forests have dark spots even in completely sunny day making for a great hide spots.

It also does make forests look more lush than they actually are.

Lighting is the next gen of graphical fidelity, not the sharpest textures or highest count polygons models.

Preview of how it could look like in DayZ (note that effect might be too dramatic/saturated, it is still only a Photoshop lighting and shading done in few minutes. Also the brightness of your monitor may vary)
